The Victims Directive: Practice makes perfect?
The Victims Directive was adopted in 2012, to be implemented in all Member States by November 2015.
This seminar will discuss the findings to date of a project headed by Dr Maria Mousmouti (CECL) funded by the EU Commission, "Developing Directive - compatible practices for the identification, assessment and referral of victims". The recent initiative by Supporting Justice of the Victims Choice Quality Mark to assess victim care services will also be discussed. This provides quality assessment based on compliance with five ‘victim care standard’ developed by Supporting Justice: access; needs; valued; safety and support.
